Similar to when you want to choose the right blush for your skin tone, you should pick the shade that mimics your skin’s undertone for a natural look and one that is opposite of your undertone for a more dramatic look. I don’t find the Makeup Geek Break Up Contour Powder to be overly powdery, and it also doubles up as a fantastic crease shade and I’m now dying to get my hands on Infidelity which is the ‘Cool/Fair’ powder, so one shade up for when I want a slightly more intense contour but if you haven’t already guessed, I love this powder and I’m yet to be disappointed by Makeup Geek and I will definitely purchase more. I really do think the quality is amazing, and it’d be perfect for contouring newbies or those who have ridiculously pale skin like myself as I find it very hard to go wrong with this powder as it creates a really natural, believable contour. I have tried so many contouring powders, and none have been as easy to apply and blend as this powder. I know hand swatches aren’t always very helpful, but I wanted to show how amazingly creamy and blendable the Makeup Geek Break Up Contour Powder is by heavily swatching, and lightly swatching it with the lighter swatch being slightly blended into the skin compared to the heavier swatch.

much better quality, as I have the MAC Sculpt Sculpting Powder and it’s honestly awful in comparison. The Contour Powder pans are £7.95 each, and they contain 4.25grams of product which is very good value, especially when you compare them to the MAC Sculpting Powders which are £16.50 and a little extra at 6 grams of product but the Makeup Geek powders are still much better value, and in my opinion. The Makeup Geek Contour Powders have been created in eight different shades four of which are cool toned, and four of which are warm toned, and the palest shade within the cool category is the Makeup Geek Break Up Contour Powder so I swiftly placed an order once it launched on Beauty Bay as they’re the only UK Makeup Geek stockist.Īll of the Makeup Geek Contour Powders currently come in pan form, but I believe they will be launching them within compact packaging too but I personally prefer the pan format as it’s more affordable and I love to store my Makeup Geek pans in my Morphe Magnetic Palettes or my Makeup Forever Magnetic Palettes as I find both of them to be considerably better value and quality than the Z Palettes which I also own. When I heard that Makeup Geek had launched a range of contour powders, I was so excited especially as Marlena created shades which catered for the fairest of skintones and I always struggle to find decent, cool toned contour shades which don’t make me look muddy. I absolutely love Makeup Geek and so far, I’ve amassed a sizeable collection of Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and Makeup Geek Blushes all of which I’ve shared here on my blog previously.
